Well Christmas has now come and gone, and it all went well in Bombs household. I just had immediate family here for christmas lunch, and it turned out well...... small but perfectly formed hehehe. I did however have a bit of a disaster with the potatoes, they went a bit too mushy so it turned into a few roast potatoes and then potato and parsnip mash. Next disaster was I managed to drop some roast potatoes and stuffing balls on the floor, but they didnt go to waste both Marley and Dexter had an early christmas dinner lol, definitely helps having dogs to clean up the mess ! I tried out a few new recipes and I was well impressed. I also tried out one today from Sophie Dahls book, it was absolutely yummy .... see I did get the book for Christmas! I didnt even have time to take pictures the food was eaten so quickly and I definitely recommend the receipe, I tweaked it a bit but it looked totally the same and so quick and easy to make and tasted delicious. I even used the left over limes to make a lovely drink which Im sipping as I type, mind yo I think its taking the enamel off my teeth hahahaha. I know a lot of people thought her programme was rubbish but I actually find the receipes so quick and easy and the more simple they are the better I like them. Between her, Jamie Oliver and Ayak, I think Ive cracked it hahahahahaha. Tomorrow its stuffed mushrooms or peppers I think cos I have both and Im trying to eat my daily 5 portions of fruit and veg instead of the 5 daily of mince pies, christmas pudding and chocolate that Ive been eating for the past few days !!!
I hope everyone had a good christmas whatever you did, New Year now here we come, I hope this one is better than last!

If Sophie's recipes are quick and easy I think it might be one for me to look out for...you know how much I love quick and easy!
Glad Christmas went well and lucky Marley and Dexter getting the roasties and stuffing. I still have some stuffing left so will be looking out for the big mushrooms again xxx
