Jeans and jumper girl

Well I hope everyone had a good Christmas and enjoyed themselves, I had an absolutely fab but tiring time.  Tomorrow Im going to hit the shops in the town I was given a little bit of money unexpectedly for christmas to buy myself something with even though we all agreed that there were to be no gifts exchanged ths year.  Ive been told no buying anything for the house or paying any bills it has to be spent on meand  Im actually quite excited.  Hubby had money given to him too and has to do the same thing, so he will be in the music and dvd shops I know for sure.  Me, I will either get a cardigan, or necklace, undies or a handbag but I will only buy what I really need.  Im carrying on with the no spending on anything unimportant in 2012, I have enough in my life why do we always need more more more.  I read an article and I dont know where about the things we tend to buy, for example, a cocktail dress cos we love it yet we only work from home or dont go out very much.  It was all very true and if I find the article I will put it on here.  I tend to be at home a lot of the time, or volunteering or just daytime food and coffee with friends and really thats what I need to dress for.  If I go anywhere special like a wedding I will buy a new outfit anyway if Ihave the money, and I have plenty of clothes for going out for a drink in the evening whether it be a smart or casual affair.  I think it finally dawned on me I have really everything I need and I dont want to end up being a clone of someone else.  Im happy in a sort of day time uniform as long as my hair and makeup looks just right.  I wear another of my dads watches which I recently found and altered and again it still works after 30 years of being in the attic,and it looks lovely.  Im not really into necklaces that much although I have to admit Ihave seen a lovely single black pearl one on the internet and I might snoop in town to see if its there too.  Rings are just my wedding and engagemnent ring and occasionally I wear another ring its beautiful but I am always scared I will lose it when I wash my hands.  For some reason I cannot get into the habit of leaving my rings on when I wash them and seeing that sometimes I only seem tohave one brain cell its more likely that I will leave it behind and its wayyyyyyy too expensive to do that. I think I was just born to be a jeans and jumper sort of girl with a little bit of extra thrown in for good measure and I have finally realised it!
