A little experiment

Today I decided to do a little experiment on where everything I have put on, or in my body has been made or grown today.   Lorena from http://myeverydaywear.blogspot.com/ did something similar with clothes some time ago and I have decided to take a leaf out of her book and do something similar.  It found it quite interesting to see exactly what comes from where.

Mascara, eyeshadow and eye pencil - Germany
Deoderant - Russia
Moisturiser - UK
Facial Cleanser - USA
Toothpaste - UK
Nail varnish - USA
Jumper - China
Jeans - Egypt
Shoes - India
Perfume - France
Handbag - Italy
Coat - Czech Republic

Bread - UK
Tomatoes, rocket and other salad bits - Italy
Chicken - UK
Peri-peri marinade - South Africa
Yoghurt drink - Finland
Orange Juice - Spain
Potatoes - UK

I was also suprised how many things dont actually have a country of origin on, and I didnt expect my jeans or deoderant or yoghurt drink to be made where they were....... hmmm interesting I may do this experiment again.

That is very interesting. There wouldn't be much point in my doing something similar because we hardly import anything here that would be on a norml shopping list for me.

Nice new header :)
And thank you for the link...
It is SURPRISING when you start looking at your labels.
I have two things in common with your list right now and its: eyeliner made in Germany and perfume made in France.
I am still wondering WHERE my toothpaste is made... there are no labels ! which makes me think its made in China.
