Birthdays and stuff

Oh well Hubbys birthday has been and gone, I think he had a good day, not that hes particularly bothered though.  We went to a friend of his for coffee in the morning and we just sat in the garden, and talked about life in South Africa.  J. is South African, but of Portuguese parents and  has lived and worked here for the last 10 years, I think sometimes he gets homesick.  M. who he shares the house with is also Portuguese and we met, via Skype, her son who still lives in Portugal while she works here and sends money home.  J. does the same, his daughter is in private school in South Africa and he pays her fees.  It was a great morning though and I came back with about 10 books to read so I cant moan that I have nothing to read anymore.  J. is an avid reader, and although some arent to my taste some obviously were hehehe.  In the afternoon a neighbour came round, not because it was hubbys birthday but to round up support to try and stop a house being built on a really small piece of land in our road.  Its amazing what they can build on such small spaces.... I will be joining the cause as I dont want it there at all, it will cause mayhem where its proposed its to be built.  As soon as she had gone hubbys best friend turned up and wow he stayed for ages and we were late going out to a meal we had planned to have in Town.  As ususal we went to an Indian restaurant, so boring we are cos we always seem to go there but as usual it was beautifully cooked and we both really enjoyed ourselves.
Today we have been to Mums for lunch and tonight its the World Cup final, yay I love it,I so want Spain to win.  Son number 1s friend put a bet on at the beginning of the World Cup for Spain to win and stands if they do win to get £8000, yep I did say £8000.  Lets hope David Villa gets the Golden Boot too and then I think they win some more.  Hmm why didnt I put a bet on hehehehe.
Finally does anyone else ever have this problem ?  I have a long length blouse on today with 3/4 sleeves but which have a sort of turn up on them and are fastened with a button and another piece of material to hold it in place .... well for about the hundredth time today as I walk past any door I have kept walking and my arm has stayed firmly hooked to the damn door.  Its really annoying am I am going to throw the blouse in the bin if it happens once more grrrrrrrr.
